HEYYY!! SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE! THIS IS WHERE I POUR MY HEART OUT.
My name is Valentina, but if you haven't yet caught the gist I mainly go by Val. Which makes us instant friends! YAY! I was born in Colombia, I'm fully Hispanic. So yes, I do speak Spanish, HOLAAA!
The truth is tho' . . . I came to the States at 5 years of age so consider me a gringa. We moved a lot growing up from Miami, New Jersey, New York, and now back to Florida. Orlando, to be precise.
I'm local to all the theme parks and while Orlando is a pretty bizarre little--well big---city-, I absolutely love it here. Especially in winter! CAN I GET AN AMEN?
I'm now a mother of 2 under 2, so it's deff a rollercoaster no doubt in that. My phone photos are at 6,000 and counting. Someone help!
I just can't help myself---photography has a very special place in my heart. After being redeemed and freed by the Lord from suicide, photography gave me a way to capture and celebrate the joy and beauty of life. I love wildlife and flowers, so I started there.
Jump to 2018-- My hubby & I lost our first baby to a miscarriage and same month found out we were having our promised child in 2019. Can you say mixed emotions? you betcha!
This awoke in me a fresh perspective on the beauty and chaos of pregnancy, the body changes, the curveballs it throws to your marriage, and the tiny feet. . .THE TINY FEET! I had to capture all of it. Now I use my photography to capture what makes a family united. From their foundation to their goofy sides. . .because that's what makes families unique. Thank Jesus, I was my dad's photography assistant for 15 years. It's a beautiful creative art expression for me- I tried "real" art like drawing and painting and I wasn't too good so I am sticking to cameras.
So look if you ever wanna chat about Jesus and kids and life while eating ice cream then screaming cause my babies are putting things in their mouth all the while you also share your sappy love story and how you and your spouse became a family--probably with Netflix playing baking shows in the background while having real brownies in the oven. . . THEN YOU'VE MET YOUR GAL!
Photography has been in my blood...well, not literally, but you understand.
Remember when we had crazy dreams as kids and were told we were too wild and should find something "realistic"? That was photography for me. I spent almost my entire childhood always attending business photoshoots with my father. . .and quickly realized that THAT type of photography wasn't for me. I wanted pictures that let me go back and relive the moment, whether that picture is me laughing with joy while smashing my first cake, or playing piano when I was 5, or jumping on the bed with my best friend and her dog. Those moments take me back to my crazy fun childhood. Those are the memories I want for my family. . . and yours!
So as you can see, photography to me is MUCH more than simply a paid session for quality photos---it's the art of creating wonderful, meaning memories that you can cherish for a LONGGG time. It's a powerful creative art. If this clicks with you--then--you and me are PALS!
I BET YOU DIDNT KNOW THIS..
